Ulaanbaatar - City tour

Depending on the arrival time, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel to freshen up and relax. After lunch at Indian restaurant, you will visit the National Museum of Mongolia, Gandan largest monastery in the city and Chinggis Khan Square with a monument of Genghis Khan.

Ulaanbaatar – Baga Garzriin Chuluu

In the early morning, begin your journey to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, roughly translated as lesser Rock formation. Visit old temple ruins located by the formation and explore the area. Overnight stay in a Ger camp.

Ger is the truly universal traditional dwelling that has been adapted over the centuries to the realities of nomadic life in harsh steppes. It is incredibly warm in winter and cool in summer and is resistible to powerful winds without being fixed in the ground. It is easily dismountable and transportable that is so important for nomads during their regular migrations.

Khukh Burd temple – Tsagaan Suvarga

After breakfast visit the ruins of Sum Khukh Burd Temple. Continue driving to Tsagaan Suvarga, a fascinating white limestone cliff which resembles a Stupa. To some, it may even remind the ancient ruins of Petra. Overnight stay in a Ger camp.

Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park – Yol Valley

Drive further south. Arrive at the Three Beauties of Gobi Mountain range: Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. Spend the day on an excursion to Yol Valley, hiking and enjoying stunning photographic opportunities of the beautiful deep canyons. Overnight stay in a Ger camp.

Khongor Sand Dunes

Morning drive to Khongor Sand Dunes which lies in Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park, and it is also known as Singing Sands. Khongor Sand Dunes, in the extreme south Gobi Desert, has a huge range of sand dunes 6-12km wide, 100km long and rising to a height of 80 meters, they are similar to sand dunes of Egypt. In the afternoon, reach the bottom of Sand dunes and enjoy the walk over it. Sunset reflection on the sand is stunning and stars during the night are so bright. Overnight stay in a Ger camp.

Bayanzag (Flaming cliffs)

Drive will be through so flat and wide landscape to Bayanzag. First excavated in 1922 by the palaeontologist Roy Chapman Andrews, Bayanzag is renowned worldwide for the number of dinosaur bones and eggs found in the area, which you can see around the world. Explore the area after lunch at the camp. Flaming Cliffs – a name was given by the that time expedition. It is also a wonderful place to watch sunset as Bayanzag looks like a flame. Overnight stay in a Ger camp.

Ongi Monastery

After breakfast drive north, visit the ruins of the once great Ongi Monastery, one of the three olden major Monastic centers of Mongolia. Visit the ancient monastery grounds and visit the site undergoing a slow rebuilding process. Overnight stay in a Ger camp.

Kharkhorin – Erdene Zuu monastery

Early morning after breakfast drive to Karakorum, once the capital of the 13th century Great Mongol Empire. Visit the Karakorum Museum housing artifacts dateable to even the Turkish period (VII century). Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, the first and the largest monastery in Mongolia built on the ruins of the ancient capital. Tour the monastery and visit several temples with excellent examples of Buddhist Thangka paintings and statues dating back to the 17th century. Overnight stay in a Ger camp.

Ulaanbaatar – Folk Concert

After breakfast, head towards Ulaanbaatar. Indian lunch. Transfer to Hotel upon arrival. In the afternoon, the time permits for a rest at the hotel or time for shopping. In the evening, you visit the Mongolian traditional folk concert at State theatre followed by dinner at Indian restaurant.

Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the Airport for international departure.
